OUR HISTORY

House of Pride was started in the basement of Marian L. Harris: it was the first-of-its kind in Delaware. Since its incorporation in 1996, House of Pride has responded to the unmet needs of the community by assisting those in recovery, distributing food, providing affordable housing. distributing clothing to seniors and children of disadvantaged families, and providing mandated community service hours to court ordered volunteers.
In June of 2025, we'll be celebrating 28 years of service at House of Pride, 28 years of providing community assistance and motivation to the disenfranchised.
House of Pride is dedicated to delivering services, opportunities, support, motivation, and education to the residents of Delaware. It functions within a context characterized by a significant prevalence of risk-related behaviors, providing assistance in a supportive environment.
Our initiative is aimed at supporting marginalized individuals facing social, economic, and personal challenges, this initiative seeks to provide long-term assistance that enables them to become constructive members of their community.
